Wako take home meal
This was a pretty impressive platter for take home from Wako! One disadvantage is that you have the entire meal in front of you all at once instead of being doled out over time when you dine in. So, of course, we ate too quickly!

Truffle day #3: Steaks
Truffle day #3: We went with wagyu bone in rib eye steaks from our local butcher Baron’s Meat & Poultry. I had one steak and Andrea and Trisha split the other. Sides included mini baked potatoes and salad. For the wine, we went domestic with one of our standbys – a 2012 Pride reserve claret.

Truffle day #2: Souffle
Truffle day #2: we went French today… truffle soufflé with shaved truffle. Our Burgundy is a bit depleted in our wine collection so I had to go with a 2013 Louis Jadot from Beaune (which is where we would have been staying in Burgundy next month before the pandemic happened). soufflé is one of my

Truffle day #1: Gnocchi, fried egg, fonduta, barbaresco
It’s hump day so what better occasion to have summer truffles overnighted (it actually takes 2 days) from Provence (thank you Les Pastras!). Acquerello at Home meal kit

Flour+Water Pasta Shop
For Friday night dinner, we ordered from Flour+Water Pasta Shop. We never managed to make it to the restaurant pre-Covid, but at least we had a chance now. We started with some prosciutto. Next was an arugula salad. The pasta was an Agnolotti with a duck and pork filling paired with a 2009 barbaresco we

Rich Table
I was getting a bit stir crazy at home and wanted to eat out. Wasn’t sure what the restaurant scene would be with covid fears running amok. No worries, this place was full. We’d been meaning to eat here for awhile. Relatively casual place. We had a nice table at the window. We went for

Benu
We both had PTSD from the horrific meal we had on Valentine’s Day at the Waikiki Marriott last Friday (to be fair we didn’t have a reservation so had to go where we could) so we wanted to cleanse our palates back in the safe confines of San Francisco. This was the last 3 Michelin
