Spoiler – this was a great meal esp. for the money. This is a sister restaurant to Quince, which is one of our favorite restaurants. It was as difficult to get a reservation here as at Quince. Every time we’ve dined at Quince we’ve always wondered about Cotogna next door which looked great. We finally got around to dining here and we were not disappointed. Cocktails to start were very tasty. We decided not to go with the Family Meal and went a la carte. The chicory salad was nice and the prosciutto was very generous and tasty. We opted for two pasta dishes, the first was a gnocchi dish with gnocchi, fonduta with the truffle supplement (truffles arrived yesterday); this dish was fantastic… Light pillowy gnocchi, Rich fonduta, and aromatic truffles. The second pasta was a papardelle with a wild boar ragu which was a nice contrast to the previous pasta course. For the meat course, we opted for a Dungeness crab soup which was seasonal and tasty and not too heavy which was a good thing since we were getting full. Wine recommendation for pairing were very good and nice that they split glasses for us. Desserts were solid (I opted for the honeycomb gelato). Dessert wine and digestif were both very nice. All and all a great meal and we’d happily dine here again.

That looks like good proscuitto. Not much of a pasta fan, but I do like gnocchi, probably cuz it is mostly potato.
