Polaris Lounge was packed. We just went straight to the restaurant and were seated for breakfast (lunch menu didn’t start until 11:30am). There was a couple already seated at the table next to us who had finished breakfast, but who were arguing with the hostess that they had wanted to stay through so they could also order from the lunch menu.
We started with some Bloody Marys which were very basic, but they were “free”. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bao which sounded interesting with a fried egg, kimchi, and gochujang mayo. Andrea ordered buttered toast. The bao came out and it was this very sad looking dish very sloppily plated and tasted as you would expect based on the way it looked. They forgot about Andrea’s toast until I gave a look at the waitperson and she realized and put in the order for it. It was a disappointing experience with the primary benefits being we had a place to sit away from all the crowds of the main part of the lounge and it was all “free”.
Trisha A. says the burger here is amazing so one of these times we’ll have to try the lunch menu.
