Omakase

This week’s meal was Omakase at Omakase (I guess that makes it Omakase^2). It was mildly amusing that all the white folks (Andrea and a couple next to us) got seated together (everyone else was Asian. I’m the banana buffer) with the newbie sushi chef (3 months at the restaurant compared to 21 years and 40 years for the other two), but Victor was fantastic and more engaging (and we asked a lot of questions) which was fantastic for us. All the dishes and sake were tasty. The meal is prepaid which is a more common trend now, but I was mildly amused (and annoyed) with the $8 charge for green tea, but whatever. You know you are being hedonistic when your wagyu is served with gold leaf. All in all another enjoyable repast.
