We used to go to this restaurant in our neighborhood every so often. It closed during the pandemic. It had been announced to open a couple times over the intervening years and went through a renovation. It finally opened just this week which we noticed walking by earlier in this week so we had to go. It was packed. True to Noe Valley, we had a table on each side of us with kids. We had cocktails to start. They were ok, but in general, we don’t have many good cocktails in our neighborhood (have to give Memento another try).
We ordered the Ceviche Criollo as recommended by our waitperson since it had the fried octopus along with a side of plantain chips. Good. I did like the octopus as well as the addition of the yam and corn.
For entrees, Andrea the Lomo Saltado because we memories of how good their lomo was before in their salad. I went with the Fideos Achupados to try soimething different. Sadly, the lomo saltado was overcooked (well done) and not particularly flavorful. My pasta dish was decent.
Overall, we were glad they re-opened to have some variety in our neighborhood and it looks like none of the other Fresca locations in SF survived.
