We’ve been meaning to eat here for years, but we were preoccupied eating at so many SF restaurants. But if you want to say you’ve eaten at all of the 3 Michelin star restaurants in the Bay Area, you’ll undoubtedly need to dine here. Menu is a chefs tasting menu, of course, and we did…

Still one of our favorite restaurants in the city. We eat out most Thursdays and theoretically this was an early b-day meal for me. We usually eat early, but I did book this last minute so we had a 7:30 reservation. Service was definitely busy compared to our last time here in September for an…

Wow. We were very much looking forward to coming back here once they opened. Definitely the most expensive meal I’ve ever prepaid (tasting menu plus wine pairings of course) though. This was only the fifth service since they re-opened. This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Food was amazing (and we…

Atelier Crenn
Easily one of the best meal/experiences we’ve had, in our top 3 for sure. Very seafood/localvore menu. Preparation, flavors, wine pairings were sublime. Definitely earned all of its Michelin stars. We’d happily go back again.

Wine pairings (we did both the reserve (mostly old world) and the nightly (California)) provided an interesting contrast and comparison. Favorites were the gruner vetliner(surprisingly since most GV I’ve had was pretty cheap and not memorable at all), the chateau de…

We ate here for a special occasion and wanted to splurge a bit and try someplace new. Technique and presentation were certainly impressive. We enjoyed our meal for sure although it seemed a bit overpriced even so. Restaurant is rated 3 stars, but since the head chef had already moved on, it felt like this…

Happy birthday dinner for my wonderful wife! One of the better meals I’ve had this year (and I’ve had many fantastic ones)… The layers of flavors, interesting wine pairings, and fantastic company made for a memorable meal.

What better way to spend Star Wars day than some fine dining. Plus it was Scott’s birthday! This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
