Dinner at Criollo for our last meal here in Oaxaca. We had been here twice for desayuno already including earlier that day in the morning. We had seating the back back area at a new bar type seating that the chef had newly set up for a future omakase type menu. We receive a preview of it which was a japanese oaxacan fusion menu that included his take on dishes such as yakitori, nigiri, chawanmushi and sakes including the first Mexican sake produced. It was a great concept and I appreciated the innovation, although some of the dishes were a bit uneven. It was a beautiful evening at a fantastic venue with a meal with our fellow travellers and hosts and nice end to our time here in Oaxaca.

Ooooh….I like this presentation. Intriguing. Too bad I have no idea what the dishes are. I can recognize fish. The people want to know.
