Saw an article headline on Bloomberg that tariffs might cause prices of imported fish to go up. Glad I had some omakase at Omakase yesterday. mini review – it was decent. generally straightfoward. One of the nigiri was kinki, which I’ve never had but did very much enjoy. the kuruma ebi was beautiful. The hotate was A bit of caviar (Tsar Nicolau) on a few bites including a wagyu (from Niku butcher of course) with a bit of caviar and gold leaf. Was at first seating (5pm) so only 5 of us. Second seating gets the rowdier drunker people (I was only one who had anything to drink) and I’m too old to start dinner at 7:45. I liked the tamago, but it had a bit of bruléed sugar on top…not sure how I feel about that. I think I’m more interested to try their casual spot, Okane, next door which I’ve never been to.
