We were staying in the Hotel Petaluma which was a boutique hotel in a historical building. We just wanted an easy dinner so we went to the restaurant in the building which looked like it had decent reviews. we didn’t have a reservation and just did a walk in. They squeezed us in at the bar (thank you to the two women who moved over a seat to make room for us).
We of course had to start with oysters. we went with two of each. Our least favorite was the Highwater which interestingly was the bar-person-oyster-shucker’s favorite. We ordered cocktails of course, which as it turned out were served from the bar in the lobby area of the hotel and then brought in (and the food at the bar in turn was provided by the restaurant). Decent cocktails. I ordered
