Kristine wanted some seafood/sushi for dinner so we found ourselves with an omakase tasting + 3 piece supplement (we’re always suckers for caviar, wagyu, and truffle) and a sake/wine pairing at Sushi Hon. Wines included a brut rose, a white Burgundy, and a sauterne. Sake pairings were enjoyable and included a Dassai 50 nigori, but I think we all preferred the Dassai 29 we bought glasses of a la carte (and I happened to have purchased a bottle of the same earlier that day at True Sake in Hayes Valley). Great food and even better dining companions!
