We didn’t have too much time in the lounge before our flight. I should have taken more pictures of the lounge itself. It is certainly far roomier than the regular United Club lounge, but it was still pretty full in the dining area. The buffet looked better than the United Club buffet, but that isn’t saying much. The Amex Centurion lounge food has consistently been better than any United Club lounge for sure. What was a little more interesting at the Polaris lounge was that they have a dining room with table service. We were right at the tail end of breakfast service and wouldn’t be able to stick around for lunch service which was fine esp. knowing we were going to be served a meal on our flight after takeoff.
Andrea ordered an omelette and I ordered the bibimbap and a virgin bloody mary which the waitperson retrieved from the bar. I do have to say the service was pretty attentive. The manager(?) also came through the dining room to check on how everything was with each of the diners.
So, back to the food. For starters, the virgin bloody mary was decent, definitely better than canned Mr. & Mrs. T that you find on a plane as you would expect. It had a nice amount of horseradish which I appreciated. My bibimbap was ok. The egg was a bit sad looking, but it was otherwise fine for breakfast. I didn’t try Andrea’s omelette though.
