#33 another impromptu dining choice. We opted for the 6-course omakase (other option was 9-course) on a Wednesday since tomorrow is Halloween and I’m flying out to Florida. Great meal. Many tasty ingredients from japan (we’re always suckers for Hokkaido uni… plus one uni dish had caviar and gratuitous gold leaf (note, gold leaf is always gratuitous). Chawamushi was delicious. Shoyu with bonito almost seems like cheating, but oh so tasty. What was really interesting for us wine/sake fiends was the mixed sake/wine pairings which were very unusual, interesting, and very tasty. A rose sake fermented with red yeast? Japanese whisky with dessert? Yes please!!
