This was our second breakfast for our mini-cation here. We were again given the ginger cake. I went with the other recommendation from the GM from our dinner here two nights ago – the Smoked Salmon Pizza. This was basically a pizza crust, topped with a bit of dill crème fraîche, scrambled eggs, and then a very generous portion of smoked salmon and bit of chives. This was also a perfectly delicious dish for my tastes and I ate almost all of it (just left 1/4 of the crust but did eat the smoked salmon).
Andrea had the parfait, but asked for the granola on the side (given that it came out mushy being on the bottom of the parfait yesterday) and a side of half grapefruit. They actually gave a full grapefruit with the top cut off, but this did make for very large sections of grapefruit and would have benefitted from a grapefruit spoon. They also offered a side of honey to go along with yogurt. We love honey so Andrea accepted and we were pleasantly surprised with it being warmed.
For beverages, I had a matcha latte with oat milk (adequate) and Andrea decided to try the David Rio Tiger Spice Chai Latte which was pretty good, not as good as the chai spices I picked up when I was India of course, but pretty decent.
