Tacolicious – Noe Valley

We wanted to grab a quick lunch in our neigborhood and headed to Todo El Dia, but it looks as though they rebranded it as Tacolicious who owned them anyway. I think Todo El Dia was a slightly more casual concept since now they are doing direct table service (before it was more place your order at the register up front, get a number and sit down). I assume this is the way the other Tacolicious locations work (we’ve never been to any of the others).

In any case, the menu largely looked the same as when it was Todo El Dia. We ordered the guac and 4 tacos – Shot-and-a-Beer Braised Chicken, Coca-Cola Braised Carnitas, Guajillo-Briased Beef, and the Crispy Shrimp. I also ordered a La Pájara jugo. The guac was very good, although it looks like quite a bit smaller portion than I remember from the first time eating at Todo El Dia. The only taco I’ve liked from eaten at Todo El Dia was the crispy shrimp, but today all the tacos were quite good and they also gave us an assortment of salsas which was nice. The juice I had was a mix of carrot, orange, fuji apple, and ginger which was quite good and not too sweet. All in all, quite good.
