United Flight 900 – Polaris

For drinks, I had the Heitz Cabernet Sauvignon since I was expecting that to go with the braised lamb shank (we both pre-ordered that). Rocket/arugula salad and olive oil and balsamic dressing was adequate. Rolls were terrible. The lamb was good enough for airplane food, very tender and enough flavor at 30,000 feet. For dessert, I always get a sundae from their cart with chocolate and caramel sauces topped with almonds. Ice cream is always rock hard, but it’s still a nice touch.

For arrival, they just gave me the penne pasta even though I had preordered the Tuscan kale, romaine and radicchio salad. The penne pasta was pretty creamy and cheesy so it was fine.

The flight attendant on my side was not very personable and just seemed to rush through service wheras the FA on Andrea’s side, Emily, seemed far friendlier and much more on top of things.
