We were helping out Kristine by picking up Heidi from her IMSA class (focused on Code Breaking) and then taking her to lunch which we were very happy to do. Kristine suggested Rookies that was a place nearby that Heidi liked. It’s a typical bar and grill, but is attached to the Fox Valley Ice Arena where the Chicago Steel play.
Heidi ordered the Buttered Noodles, Andrea had the Street Corn Chicken Salad, I had the Italian Beef sandwich and we also ordered the bone-in wings with Super Hot Buffalo sauce, some Tater Kegs. It was pub food at an ice rink, so yeah. Wings were decent. The tater kegs were kind of like mini baked potatoes with everything it was loaded up with.
