Dig Truffles? Foodie Experience & Truffle Lunch at Joseph Phelps
I’m not sure how I found out about this event, but since we enjoy truffles quite a bit, it seemed quite interesting. It’s actually a weekend of events, but the only one I signed us up for was the Dig Truffles? Foodie Experience & Truffle Lunch at Joseph Phelps. The main things that attracted me

Rutherford Hill Winery
We were staying at Auberge du Soleil mainly for relaxation and we literally hadn’t planned any wine tasting, but Rutherford Hill is basically right next to Auberge. We literally could have walked there in 5 minutes. There were a few options including an ATV ride up to the peak, the Skyloft, View of the Valley,

Sake Day 2025
We haven’t been to SakeDay for who knows how long (can’t confirm in my e-mails), back when it was originally held in Hotel Nikko downtown. When we first parked about an hour before the event, we could see the line was about 50ish people deep already. We didn’t have much interest in just standing in

Obsidian Wine Co.
After lunch at Valley, we went to Obsidian partially based on the recommendation from Corner 103 and based on our memory of having had this wine before. The tasting room is set back slightly from the street of the plaza. We did a walk-in. They were fairly busy (packed inside and mostly outside) and they

Corner 103
We had a little bit of time in Sonoma and decided to just do tasting in the plaza. Andrea asked ChatGPT where to taste and this place came up as one of the top mentions. The tasting room was on a corner of course. We just did a walk-in and the place was empty. We

United Lounge – EWR Terminal C Gate 74
On my way back home after the conference. This lounge was conveniently located close to my gate. Lounge was spacious (compared to some of the ones in SFO) so didn’t feel cramped, even though almost every seat was taken. Food was not great, definitely below par, or at least for what I had. Oh well.

Harrods Food and Dining Halls
After our fantastic lunch at CORE by Clare Smyth, we headed over to Harrods to do some shopping. One of our first stops was the food halls. The only thing we were really looking to purchase was some chocolate (for gifts and some for personal consumption of course!). But it was amazing to see how

SWEA Christmas Fair
We were at the SWEA Christmas Fair at Saint Mary’s, mainly for the crafts and the concert and not so much the food, although we did buy just a little bit. There were various Swedish food for sale including bottles of Glögg, bread, pastries, and candy. We did buy one of the Swedish buns, which
