Gynkhana notified me via e-mail that they also had a cocktail lounge that we could book before or after our dinner. We didn’t want to deal with the NYE crowd afterward, so we made a reservation for before our dinner. We arrived just a few minutes before our reservation and the staff hadn’t quite finished setting things up, but we were seated right away. The lounge was richly upholstered and decorated that gave it a private club kind of feel.
We had one round of cocktails. I had the Residence Martini (made with vodka, although I probably should have tried gin), Andrea had the Bagheera (an Espadin mezcal based cocktail), and Trisha had the Moose Wala (a tequila and grapefruit soda based cocktail). All were delicious. Mine was a perfectly delicious martini. We tend to make them very dry at home and this was definitely not that dry, but was deliciously smooth without that bite that a drier one can have.
